Alan Lukan – IT & Communication

Alan was born in Chingola, Zambia in 1960.

He was brought up and educated in Zimbabwe and relocated to South Africa in 1982.

Alan is married to Theresa and they have 3 boys who are all happily married and located in Durban, Cape Town and Portugal.

Alan & Theresa currently worship at Trinity Methodist Church in La Lucia, Durban.

Alan has some 40 years business experience in Sales & Marketing and General management, in a variety of market segments.

Alan was a Pilgrim on Emmaus walk #87 in 2010, and has worked in Support, as an Assistant Table Leader, Table Leader and Assistant Lay Director, until joining the Board in 2025.

Alan is responsible for It & Communication, which involves the maintenance of the website, communication of all events to the community via the SMS portal and WhatsApp groups, as well as the upkeep of the community database.
