The Walk to Emmaus is a spiritual renewal program intended to strengthen the local church through the development of Christian disciples and leaders. The program's approach seriously considers the model of Christ's servanthood and encourages Christ's disciples to act in ways appropriate to being "a servant of all."

Testimonial - Volker Hooyberg - 8/2/2003
I just want to share that amazing things have
happened in my life since my walk. The Lord really
knows what''s best for each of us. He has risen, and
though there are times when days are rough and
confusing, He never gives up. What He has started
He will finish. All we have to do is to believe in

Since April 1998 I have been to Europe a few
times. Last year worshipping in a German-speaking
Evangelical Lutheran congregation in Barcelona
- Spain and at Easter I could sing like never before
that He has risen. I also had an opportunity to be
in Athens, and stood on the same spot (German
theologians assured me that this was so) as St Paul
when he addressed the Areopagus. Then people
laughed at him for speaking about Our Lord rising
from the dead. They are still doing this today -
but He has risen. Only yesterday I was singing
quite spontaneously my current favourite "song"
- King of Kings, and Lord of Lords, Glory. Hallelujah!
I guess this will be my favourite song until the end
of my days on earth. Jesus will see each one of
us through - and you better believe this!.
